Today I had the pleasure of reading and speaking to 5 Kindergarten classes, it was unimaginably gratifying. I have to admit, I was a little nervous. Not about speaking to the kids, or reading and sharing my book with them, but about filling my allotted 20 min with each class. Boy was I worried about NOTHING!!!

I rehearsed reading the book aloud several times last night, pausing for dramatic effect, explaining what some of the more advanced words meant, and I was hard pressed to get beyond 3 minutes, how on earth was I going to fill in the other 17?!

Well, I had no problem. The kids were so interactive and engaged and had so many great questions (and comments) that the time flew! It was such a good experience and I cannot wait until the next reading!
